VONG KANEKA WINS 2ND AUB SPEAKING COMPETITION

Vong Kaneka, a year 1 student of Computer Science at ACLEDA University of Business emerged winner of the AUB 2nd Speaking Championship held on Saturday June 24th. About 200 Students participated in the contest which started on Saturday 10th June following which about 40 students qualified for the Semifinals.

At the end of the semifinals, 9 students progressed into the final stage following which Vong Kaneka emerged winner. Chan Sarah also of ACLEDA University of Business finished as first runner up while Abundant Life International School Student, Chea Fong Yi finished as second runner up.

The contestants made presentations on the various themes which included Education, Sports, Culture and Health. The nine students that progressed to the finals were:

• Chea Fong Yi from Abundant Life International School
• Ou Sereyboth from Abundant Life International School
• Phum Sophaldanin from ACLEDA Institute of Business
• Vong Kaneka from ACLEDA Institute of Business
• Mean Chankimeng from Sovannaphumi School
• Ven Daly from Paññāsāstra University of Cambodia
• Ken Sreyleap from Sisowath High School
• Keo Nyza from Sisowath High School

Certificates were awarded to all the participants while the top 3 winners received the following prices:

1. First Place Winner:
• Gold Medal
• 1,000,000 riel cash
• Scholarship to study a Language Course at FAL, AUB
2. Second Place Winner:
• Silver Medal
• 800,000 riel cash
• Scholarship to study a Language Course at FAL, AUB
3. Third Place Winner:
• Bronze Medal
• 600,000 riel cash
• Scholarship to study a Language Course at FAL, AUB
