Congratulations on the certificate awarding ceremony for students who have successfully completed the short course at ACLEDA University of Business
December 25, 2025
On December 25th,2025 The Faculty of Arts, Humanities, and Languages (FAL) at ACLEDA University of Business (AUB) successfully hosted its 2025 graduation ceremony, honoring approximately 200 students who completed intensive programs in General Chinese (GCP), General English (GEP) and English for Academic Purposes (EAP).
The ceremony was presided over by Dr. Phon Narin, AUB President, alongside Vice President and Chief of Academic Affairs, Mr. Rath Rattanak, distinguished faculty members, and proud families. The event highlighted AUB’s commitment to producing graduates capable of navigating the global professional landscape, student excellence, and global readiness.
The ceremony featured powerful testimonies from the graduates, emphasizing the transformative power of language education:
- Leng Seakleng (GCP Graduate): "Studying Chinese was more than just learning characters; it was about adopting a new way of thinking. This program has sharpened my discipline and opened my eyes to the vast opportunities in the regional market."
- Chiv Sokhary (GEP Graduate): "English is not just a subject; it’s a second life. I battled through every difficulty and late night because I knew this certificate was my ticket to a better future."
- Heng Meyching (EAP Graduate): "AUB didn't just teach me English; they braided my knowledge with critical thinking. They have given me the tools to go out and conquer the world with confidence."
Valedictory and Presidential Remarks
Dr. Gabriel Ken Gadaffi, Senior Lecturer, delivered a stirring valedictory speech, noting that the graduates' hard-earned certificates are "keys to unlock the world." He lauded their perseverance through the rigors of grammar, vocabulary, and cross-cultural communication, urging them to walk into the world with boldness.
In his keynote address of the open remarks, Dr. Phon Narin shared the history of AUB’s transformation from a training institute to a full-fledged university under ACLEDA Bank. He emphasized that the main factor contributing to his success up to the present day is his ability to speak English. He began studying English in 1992, at a time when most people did not have strong English skills. As a result, this became a valuable opportunity for him to work at ACLEDA Bank, where he has continued his career up to now. Additionally, "My knowledge of English at a young age was the single most important factor that opened international doors for me such as join meeting in Holland, Lao , Vietnam, Malaysia and Singapore " he remarked. Consequently, I urge you not to relent "Excellence is not a destination but a continuous pursuit". "
