Bachelor of Arts in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL)

Students will get a theoretical and practical grasp of second language acquisition as well as teaching strategies and resources through a Bachelor of Arts in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL). The syntax and phonology of the world's major languages will also be covered, and students will learn how to solve a variety of cross-cultural and cross-linguistic issues that arise in both oral and written communication.

Bachelor of Arts in English for Translation and Interpreting

The DFL's Bachelor Degree in English for Translation and Interpreting was one of its kind in Cambodia.

We also provide excellent academic training in more contemporary fields, such as video game translation.

Optional Careers

Graduates are most often employed in the following fields:

  • In businesses, law firms, and international organizations, technical and legal-administrative translation is used.
  • Interpreting for national or international organizations (such as the UN or UNESCO) or businesses with global operations.
  • Both in public and private institutions, teaching.
  • Interpreting at conventions, shows, and travel companies.
  • Correction or translation of literary works for publishing companies.
  • Adding subtitles and dubbing to multimedia or audiovisual content.

Bachelor of Arts in English for Business Communication

The Bachelor of Arts in English for Business Communication (EBC) program is an interdisciplinary one that will expand your theoretical and practical knowledge of business, media, and cultural studies. Students who complete this course will gain communication skills and media literacy that are applicable to professions in journalism, public relations, advertising, professional writing, and communications.

Graduates of the EBC program will be able to:

  • Evaluate fundamental difficulties in cultural contexts using communication theories.
  • Examine how audience views of topics, events, products, and services are influenced by the communication medium.
  • Analyze the integration and efficacy of all media and communications.
  • Research and information-seeking techniques with a focus on communication should be displayed.
  • Provide morally and legally sound content for various markets and media.
  • Use content and media integration to persuade target audiences.
  • Employ communication techniques to situations and challenges in business.
  • Deliverables from the course should display critical thinking and reflection abilities.
  • Use a collaborative setting to work effectively.

Course Organization

A scaffolded sequence of business and communications courses is available through the Bachelor of Arts in English for Business Communication (EBC). It also incorporates media studies courses to produce an interdisciplinary degree that gives students a solid foundation for work in media and communications organizations and other business careers involving communications. Given that developing team skills is crucial for success in the real world, team activities are an integral aspect of many courses. Both online and in-person learning settings are available for courses.
